Cory + Jaclyn = Timeless Love

I love when a photo session is effortless! There was no awkward moments with these two! Totally in love and needed very little direction to me!
I swear I was just a fly on the wall for this session! Jaclyn and Cory and one of my 2011 wedding clients this year. They are from Grand Prairie, Alberta and have chosen to get married here in the Okanagan!
Jaclyn informed me that they wanted to have landscape type photos for their engagement session... I don't think she was expecting my multi location idea!
They met me at Guisachan House at 9am - not a soul around and the gardens were spectacular!
We made a short drive to the lookout point above The Harvest so they could really see the whole landscape of where they were getting married (Kelowna). We kept our travels going to SE Kelowna to a lovely orchard in full bloom!
We even got a few pictures of the love birds with Cory's pride and joy... The Dodge! He was def. a happy guy when he got to pose with both his beautiful bride to be and his truck!
We had one last stop and that was a huge open field on Benvoulin Rd... risky business by the way!
I truly can't wait for these two to get married!
Looking forward to their small intimate wedding!
Thanks for making my job so easy!

Georgia + Bryce = Musical Engagement

Georgia and Bryce are AWESOME - enough said?
Ok, how about more... They brough props, they were totally in love and game for anything... even a little early morning tresspassing with the person HOME (in all fairness we knocked, no answer so we shot and ran!)There was blossoms, long grass, perfect ligting and I even got to enjoy some of their musical talent!
I am very much looking forward to this wedding, not only is it up at Silver Star this summer... but it's going to be so AWESOME!
These two were made for eachother!

Blonde Girl + Blonde Horse = Epic Spring

Gen and Summer met me out in Oyama where cherry blossoms proved to be very abundant! Gen was my first contest winner a few months ago, and boy did she work hard for this shoot!
From the get go there was a bond between the two ... we had beautiful lighting, blossoms everywhere and just when it doesn't get any better an AWESOME 100yr old house gets put into our lap.. not literally of course!
I'm not sure what it is about an old farm house that can make a photographer's heart beat faster and make you feel like a kid in a candy store. I'm not kidding we're strangely addicted to cool props, retro furniture and the PERFECT location!
Being the country girl that I am, anything painted peeling and rustic is totally me!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
XoXo

Lacey + Fate = My soon to be nephew

This post is very near and dear to my heart. Two of my very best friends are due at the same time this year!
Ms. Lacey has been in my life for a very long time, nearly 20 years to be exact. I'm so lucky to be able to document these exciting times throughout my friend's lives. Truth be told they are so much more than my friends, these are the people I have grown with, shared my life with and they are my sisters.
I am in awe of Lacey's strength as she embarks on this new chapter in her life. I can't wait to see the little baby boy she produces in Aug.
I love you so much Lacey and for everyone else - stay tuned for hopefully one more Maternity shoot with Lacey and her Beau Brandon and then of course the baby photos!
