Kyra + Misty = Vibrant Fall

I swear Kelowna only lacks ONE thing and that is vibrant colours on our trees. Not enough maples, every time October arrives I crave the oranges yellows and reds!
Well did we luck out, just so happens that on Kyra's family farm there is a great big Maple with leaves that matched Kyras beautiful hair!
If you know this girl you know how great she is, so honest and sincere and you also know she's another farm girl that doesn't get into a dress to often!
Kyra was very well behaved.. Misty well she had her focus on other things, this is very common with my four legged clients.
I'm grateful for having this girl in my life and so happy I could capture the bond she has with her stunner of a horse!
XOXO

Gaige + Pumpkin = Best Costume EVER

I love this little guy - I have loved him since I did his momma's maternity photos, then his new born photos and now his six month photos!
His expressions are just amazing now! He demonstrated how he can squeal and really was such a trooper for teething and feeling a little under the weather!
Jess you're so beautiful and being a mother is just who you were meant be!
Enjoy!

Chelsea + Jessie = Western Dreams

So as photogenic as these two are together they are quite bashful!
I adore when conversation comes easily and the photos speak for themselves. Everyone was involved in this shoot - the horses and the dog (Would I have it any other way!?) It was great, warm fall sunlight a big open field.
Thanks guys for a great time! Really looking forward to your wedding in 2011!!

Vanessa + Ben = 10.10.10 outta 10!

My very last wedding of the season...
Bitter sweet - So very happy for all my clients in 2010, So gratefu for all the amazing people I've come to meet and so blessed to be apart of their lives!

I am however excited for 2011 and ready to put 2010 behind me! Only fitting that my last wedding of the season ended on Oct.10th 2010!
I managed the whole year without any rained out weddings. When I woke up it was pouring on Vanessa and Ben's day... but that soon faded and didn't even pose a threat during our photos!
A beautiful ceremony took place at the Holiday Inn in Westbank
After we were whisked off to Gellatly Nut Farm for some Family and Bridal Party photos!
Vanessa was truly stunning in her red and white dress and those amazing blue eyes of hers! Ben you're a lucky man, and it's very apparent you have a heart of gold.
These two were most at ease when looking at each other.
Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your special day!

CONGRATULATIONS

Shyla + Andrew = "Fall" In Love

I LOVE fall... I LOVE in love couples and I adore Andrew and Shyla!
It was a beautiful Thanksgiving Monday and this fantastic couple met me somewhere along the road to Predator Ridge... we came across a gate with a sign of course that said "No Trespassing" so we did what any logical photographer and clients would do... hopped the gate!
With changing leaves and stunning views it was a Photographer's playground... And these two were more than happy to tag along for my kooky ideas!
I'm not quite sure what it is about photo shoots that really bring out the loveydovey in people... but it works and I'm not going to question it (although I'm fairly sure these two needed no encouragement from me!)
Thank you both for entrusting me to show your love to the world!

Jacquie + Jon = Autum Splendor!

My second to last wedding of the season and I loved every minute of it. These two were so radiant and so inlove!
Jacquie did a great job of putting all the Fall colours together! The browns, reds and oranges pulled together to give the wedding a cozy warm feeling!
These two were clearly meant to be together, they fit together and laugh together.
I couldn't have asked for a better bridal party, full of ideas and laughter! (To be hoenst I think this was one of the few bridal parties that the guys totally got into the photos!)
I wish you love and laughter for all the years to come!
Keep laughing!

Annie + Girl = Persistance Pays Off

Annie had contacted me roughly six months ago, wanting photos and really loving the equine side of Kay Photos.
I offered to lend my horse as a model - however the timing was off and so we postponed.
Thankfully Annie never gave up! Today we got to finally get those photos.
I think sometimes it takes a great client to remind us just how lucky we are. Annie touched a horse for the first time and I really do love the effect it has on people. We played in an Orchard (and I have to admit that I forget how foreign the country is to city people).
I'm so glad that this stunner of a woman never gave up and we got to accomplish some great photographs! Annie - I hope you get to go home to Vancouver and see your family soon, you are a wonderful person!!
Thanks
K
