Number 10 and WOW was it fantastic

From the point when Ashleigh booked me (via email AND phone calls!) I knew she'd be someone I'd love working with. Our "quick" consult turned into a 2 hour meeting where the conversation flowed easily!

I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement photos and 2 days later their stunning wedding!
It took place at Haney Heritage Park in Salmon Arm and we had no shortage of backdrops!
The reception was at the Salmon Arm Golf Club, and again we had the opportunity to sneak out on to the greens after supper for a few more shots!

They made a beautiful Bride and Groom!

Ashleigh and Matt - Engagment Splendor!

I knew this E sesh was going to be awesome!
From my fantastic clients to the wonderful rolling hill of Lake Country! Ashleigh and Matt got some quick impromptu engagement photos prior to their wedding this Saturday!
We wanted a chance to get to know each other and feel at ease in front of the camera!
(Although this comes naturally when the love shines through!)
I'm so very excited for this couple!
From the start I hit it off with Ashleigh, our "quick" consult (after she booked!) ended up being 2hours!
We got lucky with one of the few nice Okanagan days lately (yes, sad but true!)... and they even agreed to my "golden light" request.
I loved the way these turned out, we even found some four legged props in our journeys!

"You've got to kiss the Girl" Katie and Rob

Ok - So since Katie and Rob's engagement shoot I've had the pleasure of really getting to know Katie and I dare say she's a great friend "gasp". Their wedding day was really suited just for them! The minister add libbed a bit and added "giggles" into their vows, knowing this is exactly who the couple is, giggly and in love!

Bertrum creek park provided a perfect summer setting, as The Little Mermaid theme songs played over the speakers people danced down the isle! When the time come to say I do, the passion and love was overwhelming and a record amount of bubbles were doing their own dance around the venue.

Thank you again for choosing me, I loved every minute of it and I know you two will live happily ever ever!

Meghan's Mini TTD

On June 5th one of my very best friends married the love of her life... I got to bear witness and have the honour of being in her wedding party, however this meant I couldn't photograph the wedding.
However I got my wish of shooting Megs with her beautiful paint horse, Sequoia.
Well... the mosquitoes were awful and her horse was borderline insane so our shoot was short and sweet.
I'm very grateful to have had this opportunity!

BTW: no dresses were harmed in the making of these photographs!

Elaine and Rajan aka Bonnie and Clyde!

It was a stunning day, for an amazing couple!

Elaine and Rajan were married at Kaloya Park in Oyama. The day was hot, a welcome change from our weeks of rain. The food was amazing (Indian food SO divine), and our venues were picturesque.

A great big thank you to Gatzke Farms for the use of the orchard, apple boxes and tractors!

And another HUGE thank you to Hayton Creek Ranch and Ashlea C. for the use of your farm (and letting us play with the foals).

Inspiring Love

Being a wedding photographer/life photographer I'm faced with awe inspiring stories and one of a kind loves all the time. This particular E*Shoot was phenomenal.

When Carina contacted me a couple weeks ago, she told me she had been following my work for quite some time (since last summer), I was flattered and astounded!
She explained her and Drew had gotten engaged and wanted photos done... but they were on a deadline! She was leaving to the middle east within the month.
Drew is with the military and Carina works at Kandahar Air Base.
To find a love this strong to endure the distance and time apart really leaves me feeling inspired!
I wish you two all the best in your future life together! You bring out the beauty in each other!
