Jessica and I ventured out for our progressive maternity shoot!
Month 7... we're getting close! Can't wait to meet that little bundle of joy that is giving momma so much trouble hehe!
It was a beautiful sunny day and a trying time of figuring out all the ins and outs of the upgraded camera!

Dallas, Crazy Dog!

My new camera arrived in the mail mid week and I could hardly contain myself to try it out this weekend!
I invited a co-worker of mine to come out and bring her beautiful chocolate lab pup so I could test out my new camera! As fast as my camera was, it had a hard time keeping up to this crazy animal!
The results tho... were fantastic! Thanks Christine and Dallas for coming out!

Taste of India - Wedding

On Feb 20th Kay Photos was fortunate enough to not only photograph our 3rd wedding of 2010... but a whole new experience! I was with the Sandhar Family for three days for ceremonies and traditions that were eye opening and truly enlightening!
Day 1 was Sharan (and her bridesmaids) for the Henna (or Mehndi) ceremony.
Day 2 was the Turmeric ceremony... the whole family gets together for this, it was a blast!
Day 3 was the Wedding, which included 2 outfit changes for everyone! I was lucky enough that 2 of the girls in the family actually lent me a traditional East Indian suit for the ceremony at the temple!
Sharan you were beyond stunning ... in both of your outfits! I want to wish you and David all the love and happiness for the rest of your lives!
Thank your allowing me to wittiness one of the most amazing weddings! It was beautiful to see two cultures come together!

Alberta Style Love

Hehe, So on a lovely Monday afternoon I snuck out of work on my lunch break to meet Lacey and her boyfriend Brandon. Both of them are hard working Alberta "dirt movers". It was a less than ideal location but we made it work in our favor!
Every couple sees their share of ups and downs and these two are no different, but I now see just how strong their love is and it really is worth fighting for!
See you both in the spring! (and yes Brandon it means Lacey is going to make you do more photos!)

Valentines Weekend Wedding

On Feb 13th 2010 - Kay Photos had the pleasure of being present when two people promised their lives to one another. The ceremony was moving and filled with emotions (and some tears!), while after was full of laughter and joy!
James and Lisa were a photographers dream (along with their wedding party), full of ideas and such a huge range of emotion! When it all came down to it the love they shared was so evident!

4x4'ing with the Jones'

I had the pleasure of photographing my first wedding couple from 2009.
As they approach their first wedding anniversary, it is pretty obvious they were made for each other.
We hopped into the truck and went up into the Winfield hills for a location that was very much specific to them... the bush!
I was clearly not prepared for snow and ice as I chose my favorite black high heeled boots (should have known better I KNOW!)
The results were fantastic, Cory you were a sport, I know Meaghynne and I made you do some pretty "mushy" things!

Venti Love Story

On January 30th 2010, Kay Photos shared in a memorable wedding!
On a gloomy although very mild winter day we had the pleasure of witnessing Anneka and Shayne vow to spend their life together. Knowing this couple personally made this event even MORE memorable. The love they share is so unique, a very understanding loving couple.
The Cove Lakeside Resort was a beautiful backdrop for this "Venti Love Story". Both Anneka and Shayne are avid Starbucks drinkers... hence the "theme"...
