A busy weekend for Kay Photos has come and gone. Saturday I had the pleasure of witnessing Shayne and Anneka say "I do" (Pictures to follow).
Sunday was a dreary Okanagan day, although VERY mild for Jan.31st, I met Sherena and Pete in the industrial district downtown. We played in apple boxes and on railway cars and got some fantastic shots! Sherena being a talented photographer herself was a blast to shoot and was creative and surprisingly nimble for a seven and a half month pregnant lady!
Here are some teasers from the maternity shoot!

Foggy Westside Morning...
Well I hauled myself outta bed before daylight on Saturday morning to go over and photograph Dani and Maddie (their previous shoot ended up raining on us so this was a re-shoot). It was cool and foggy but got some really nice results!
I'm still learning the new ins and outs of the the 50mm lens, but so far I'm fairly sure it's the definition of true love.

Amy and The 3 Amigos
Taking advantage of our sunny Okanagan winter day, I went out to the Russo Farm and photographed Amy (yet again hehe) and her 3 horses. Trying to coordinate all three was challenging and we resorted to single shots of her with each one instead.
We were lucky enough to use the barn in the neighboring pasture as a lovely prop!

Sunny Saturdays
As the sun in Kelowna sparkled and danced, I was with a very loving couple that are expecting their first little one. The love and joy is pretty evident and at 6 months along I'm just as excited to meet the bundle of joy.
Jessica and Darren are my experiment over the next couple months as we're going to be doing "progressive" shoots, one shoot each month!
YAY!

Maternity on the Farm
I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Suzanne. I've been very lucky in knowing Suzanne for a number of years now. Pregnant with her second child and still running a full farm and breeding operation (www.airintime.com)She is a huge inspiration! (and simply put, I think she is Wonderwoman!)
Here are a couple photos of Suzanne, her beautiful son Gabriel and of course the nose of Air In Time (Jag).
